FH Sat 5/11 8am to noon Fair Harbor Spring Cleanup - The barge will dock at the usual place.
FH Sun 5/19 10:30am Fair Harbor Community Association ( FHCA ) Spring meeting. All are urged to attend. Important issues will be discussed affecting all residents.
FI Tue 5/21 Suffolk County Tax Grievance Day. For all those that feel they pay too much in taxes.

LH Sun 5/26 7pm Horseshoe Crabs -Living Fossils - Come explore the fascinating world of the Horseshoe Crab.  A family program will per presented at 7PM, in which each family can make a paper horseshoe crab model.  The program will be followed by a guided walk to the bay beach to observe this ancient ritual of horseshoe crabs coming up onto the beach during the full moon each May & June to lay their eggs. Reservations Required (631)661-4876  - All parking is at Robert Moses State Park field #5 - Bring a flashlight

FH 4/12 Official Suffolk Cty Water Authority Water Turn on.
LH Sun 4/14 8am Walk on Fire Island - 5K Run & Walk for Parks - Rain or shine. 
 Check in starts at 8:00AM at Robert Moses State Park Field #5.  Enjoy a pre-event pasta dinner compliments of Bruno Specialty Foods Inc., Saturday, April 13th at the Long Island Maritime Museum Event co sponsored by the Long Island Maritime Museum, The Fire Island Lighthouse Preservation Society, New York State Parks and Fire Island National Seashore. FI 4/22 National Park Service decides whether to allow Personal Water Craft (Jet-Skis) in it's waters. FINS is subject to those regulations. Congress member are trying to delay the date.
LH Sat 4/27 7pm Sunset / Moonrise Tower Tour - Enjoy a guided tour to the top of the Lighthouse to witness a panoramic view of the island at sunset Fee $10 per person - Reservations required  - call (631)661-4876
