Highlights  of FHCA meeting 5/16/98:

Dock Project Expected completion 6/28
Garbage Bungees handed out at Corliss. Remind neighbors and renters to securely fasten covers.
WRAP Schedule should be available from Tony's
Renters Distribute: Renters Welcome to Fair Harbor  to all houses once laminated
Mosquitoes Reiterated self-help procedures for home-owner and renters to reduce mosquito breeding, and the FHCA mosquito dunk program.
Membership Currently 43% of homeowners are members. Non-members are encouraged to join to help improve our community. A growing number of renters is joining!
Ticks The Medical District distributed Daminix throughout the community this spring
Pine Walk Fair Helen Kornblau is asking for volunteers. Tables are still available. Donations appreciated
Beach Closings Gene Levy summarized the background of the current "public toilet" issue and how other communities intend to solve the issue. He then outlined our options of how to comply with the law this year. He is working closely with the town attorney on a solution.

Summary of the Spring 1998 News Update:

The Dock:
Reconstruction may last 6-8 weeks till around Memorial Day
Bay Area Garbage:
Tony's Barge has been hired to remove garbage Sunday mornings 8am from memorial Day through Labor Day
Bungee Cords:
Corliss has two per Home available for free. Please use them to tie down your garbage can lids
House Addresses:
The Fire Dept asks to place house numbers on the left side of the entrance leading to your house to increase response times.
Wrap Cans:
If yours is no longer usable, get a new one by contacting Billy Newman 582-5886
Directories:
1997/98 directories available from Pat Rudikoff 583-7152

Support your community! Join! Homeowners and Renters are welcome.
