In response to your questions in your e-mail, I offer the following:

1. The RFP hasn't been prepared as yet. The Town, as the Water

Commissioners, is gathering information concerning the project, including a ballpark estimate. They will be holding a public hearing.

2. The capacity for fire fighting of the system, after replacement, will be dramatically improved.

3. The Authority has installed an automatic emergency connection at the east end of the system. There is an existing manual interconnection to the Saltaire Community on the west side.

4. The Town and the Authority are talking about the replacement of walks. While nothing is settled, there is a possibility that the Town Highway Department would pay for the walks and therefore, that cost would not be apart of the water main replacement project.
