| April 18, 2002 Resident of Fair
Harbor/Dunewood Water District:
The water in the Fair Harbor portion of the water system has tested
negative for asbestos for at least four consecutive samples. The water has
been turned on and is safe to use for any and all purposes. Fair Harbor is
the area between Keough Walk and Spruce Walk inclusive of both walks. The
Water Authority will continue to sample for asbestos on a weekly basis to
ensure the water remains safe for public use.
The Dunewood portion of the system is still being tested. Until we have
satisfactory results, the system will remain off except for Central Walk,
which will remain on for fire protection. The water should not be used for
domestic purposes. The Water Authority will do everything it can to have the
water turned on in Dunewood as soon as possible and will keep the community
informed of our progress. The Dunewood portion of the water system is from
Dolphin Walk to Skimmer Walk inclusive of both walks
We thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Very truly yours,
Herman J. Miller, P.E.
