Saturday, July 6, 2002 - Saw the reunion of many pupils of the Fire Island School now known as Woodhull School. The day started with an Open House at the Woodhull School. Videos were shown of school events long past and photo albums invited to peruse faces and events - Formal class pictures, pictures from graduation, school outings and school projects. Faces that had faded into the past but were brought back and combined with stories, events and memories brought many a smile to the alumni faces. Ms Espinosa was on hand to help answer questions and show visitors around.

The evening continued at Tequila Jacks Grille and Cantina (formerly Sandbar) in Robbins Rest with a reception and dinner. The back terrace was a fitting place to get-together, swap stories and memories.

Carla Hommels and her volunteers who had so ably organized this event reminisced: "The reunion itself was the icing on the cake, the real fun was to have talked over the last two years with so many friends and acquaintances from my school years on Fire Island. I truly enjoyed catching up with them".
