Areas
Daily July through Labor Day, weekends June & September.
Ocean at Broadway: weekdays 10:00 a.m.-5 p.m., weekends 10:00am-6pm.
Bay at Broadway: weekdays 9-5, weekends 10-6.
Ocean at Sea Walk (July-Labor Day only): weekdays 12 noon-5p.m., weekends
10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Note: location of protected beaches and posting of lifeguards subject to
beach conditions.
Recreation Program
July & August, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 2 noon. Ages 4-12.
Organized activities, arts & crafts and water safety instruction.
Afternoon soccer & corkball leagues, weekend softball leagues. Rates &
registration, dates of operation, at Village Office.
Refuse Collection
Pickups on Monday & Thursday mornings, mid-June through mid-September.
Mondays only all other times. When a holiday is legally observed on a
Monday, collection will be made on the Tuesday. SEE REFUSE COLLECTION AND
RECYCLING PLACARD FOR MANDATORY INSTRUCTIONS AND REGULATIONS.
Village Cartage
Monday through Saturday in season. (631) 581-0993 after 6 p.m.
Village Marina
Boat berthing and boat beaching by prior permit only. Information
available from Village Office or Saltaire Security.
Village Library
Village Hall, Pomander Walk entrance, 583-7716. Open mid-June through
early September. Dates and hours of operation will be posted at entrance.
Bay Shore Parking Lot
Foot of Maple Avenue, phone 665-9649, or call Main Terminal, Fire
Island Ferries, 665-3600 or 666-3600. Season parking application available
for homeowners at Village Office. Others apply at Main Terminal. Note:
dates and hours of lot operation vary. Check in advance.
Ferry Tickets
Available at Village Office for homeowners only. Also available at Main
Terminal in Bay Shore or on ferries.
Groceries & hardware, liquor store. Broadway near Bay Promenade,
583-5522. May-September.
Religious Services
Our Lady Star of the Sea (Catholic),
Lighthouse Promenade at Navy Walk. 583-7613 (Rectory). July to Labor Day.
Masses: Sunday, 9 a.m. & 11 a.m.; Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9a.m.;
Saturday 5 p.m. Spring and Fall, Sundays only, schedule will be posted.
St. Andrew's By the Sea (Episcopal),
Broadway near Harbor Promenade 583-8382 (Rectory, 100 Marine Walk). Sunday
services, 8 & 10 a.m. (June-September). Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur
services at St. Andrew's, schedule will be posted.
Bay Promenade at Marine Walk. Private membership only. Bar, food,
